Our story this week is called “From Seed to Plant.” It is a nonfiction piece that is loaded with information on pollination and germination. When your child reads it at home, please make sure they not only read the story, but also study the diagrams. It will help them understand the concepts better.

When working with our lemonade stand, we realized that counting money is a skill the students should be working on. I will have a place to sign on the homework sheet for you to sign. Please sign after you work with your child on counting change. Use any coin combination and have them count it. We stress the importance of counting the biggest change first. We had a huge success with our lemonade sales!! A BIG thanks out to all who helped us. We greatly appreciate it. After expenses we made a profit of $292.0!!!!! The Second Graders will be able to send a nice care package over seas.
