When working with our lemonade stand, we realized that counting money is a skill the students should be working on.  I will have a place to sign on the homework sheet for you to sign.  Please sign after you work with your child on counting change.  Use any coin combination and have them count it.  We stress the importance of counting the biggest change first.  Thanks for your cooperation:)

We had a huge success with our lemonade sales!!  A BIG thanks out to all who helped us.  We greatly appreciate it.  After expenses we made a profit of $292.0!!!!!  The Second Graders will be able to send a nice care package over seas.

I added a new site to my Blogroll.  It is all about the character “Little Critter.”  The website has many fun and educational activities to do with this neat character.  Have fun checking it out:)

This week we read a story about flying a plane.  Our class took a trip back in time and learned about the Wright brothers.  We went to a website that shared all sorts of triva about them.  An interesting fact is that the brothers designed and sold bicycles before they become fascinated about aviation.  If your child and you would like to learn more about the brothers, I have the website bookmarked in my Blogroll.
